Purpose of Messaging

To comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, Evans Concrete LLC will use SMS text messaging as an official method of communication with employees. These messages are designed to provide timely information necessary for maintaining regulatory compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Types of Messages

Employees may receive, but are not limited to, the following:

• Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance notifications
• Hours-of-Service (HOS) and duty status reminders
• Scheduling, dispatch, and operational updates
• Emergency or safety alerts
• Company policy and regulatory updates

Consent to Receive Messages

By accepting employment in a position subject to FMCSA requirements, employees consent to receiving work-related and compliance-related text messages from Evans Concrete LLC. Providing a mobile number is a condition of employment in regulated positions.

Message Frequency

The frequency of messages may vary depending on operational needs, federal requirements, or safety considerations.

Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply based on the employee’s mobile carrier and plan. Evans Concrete LLC assumes no responsibility for these charges.

Opt-Out Policy

Employees may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. However, because these messages contain mandatory compliance and safety information, employees who choose to opt out are required to contact our Office Manager/VP Sharon DeLoach at 912-739-3733 Ext.104, or by email at sdeloach@evansconcrete.com, immediately to establish and maintain an alternative communication method. Failure to establish and consistently use the required alternative channel after opting out may result in missing critical work-related information. Such failure will be considered a performance issue and may lead to corrective action, up to and including disciplinary measures, in accordance with company policy.

Privacy & Data Protection

Employee mobile numbers will only be used for company business, compliance, and safety purposes. Evans Concrete LLC will not share or sell employee contact information to third parties, except where required by law.
